So Fast, Supreme Court to deliver final verdict in Atiku, Obi’s petitions Tomorrow, October 26th.


The Supreme Court has finally fixed Thursday, October 26, to deliver final judgements in the two surviving petitions challenging the legality or otherwise of the declaration of President Bola Tinubu as winner of the last presidential election.


They are the petitions filed by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, and his counterpart in the Labour Party, LP, Peter Gregory Obi.


A 7-man panel of Justices of the Court led by Justice John Inyang Okoro had on Monday, October 23rd taken final arguments from lawyers to parties in the petitions.

The death of one Ocheze Ogbonna, a staff of Inner Galaxy Steel Company, Umuahala-Obuzor Asa, in Ukwa West council area of Abia State, has sparked outrage in the area following reports that her Chinese boss was responsible for her demise. Ocheze, a female crane operator in the company was allegedly pushed down from the height after she rejected his sexual overtures. He death sparked a protest by the youths of the community and they barricaded the gates, insisting that they wont leave until justice was done over the death of the crane operator.
