Zubairu Malami, the ex-boyfriend of Zainab Yahaya, the new wife of the Nigeria Customs Services Comptroller-General, Hameed Ali, has debunked reports that he demanded a N9 million refund from the lady. Reports were rife a few days ago after a letter purportedly written by a lawyer to Malami emerged online, seeking a reimbursement all the money spent on Zainab – including the cost of air tickets, house and shop rents, loan collected for her father and for opening a clothing business for her – during their estranged relationship.
