SACK ACB AGBAZUERE: SAVE YOUR CRUMBLING GOVERNMENT--- DODOR TO IKPEAZU

Agbazuere Is Building A Personality Cult In Umuahia, Okezie Ikpeazu Must Sack Him At Once To Save His Crumbling Government

1. There is no greater proof of leadership weakness and incompetence than the presence of a larger than life appointee/actor usurping the role of his principal.

1b. Think of a Chuma Nzeribe in Chinweoke Mbadinuju’s misbegotten regime, an Al Mustapha in the murderous Sani Abacha junta, a Eunice Uzor Kalu in Orji Kalu’s evil regime and a Chinedu Orji in the dishonest government of Theodore Orji.

2. In an organised and result oriented government, you will always know who is in charge, the man on whose table the final decision is made.

3b. Who was Peter Obi’s chief of staff? What role did Alex Mbakwe play in the government of Sam Mbakwe? How many professors seeking appointment in Oyo have taken cows to Seyi Makinde’s mother? Who was Sullivan Chime’s adviser on security?

3. Can you get a sense of where I am going? Any good leader knows that in order to be effective, he must appoint aides that would help him achieve his vision. Shared vision is the key phrase. Get the right people and boot out the wrong people and you will have a smooth sail in government.

4. Good leaders often find a way of keeping their family members from interfering or obstructing government business the way Eunice Uzor Kalu and Chinedu Orji did in Abia state.

4b. They are mindful of their promises to the people and are aware that in the end, the electorates would neither hold their mothers nor sons responsible for their failures. It is a personal race. Ask Orji Uzor Kalu.

5. Like every terrible leader in history, Okezie Ikpeazu has demonstrated lack of strong will or a commitment to taking charge of his own government. Matter of fact, the former apprentice at 29 Nweke Street Aba has practically surrendered governance to all manner of people.

6. If he is not being “remote controlled” by those who railroaded him to the government house; his Obingwa kinsmen are calling the shots. The most tragic thing about Mr Ikpeazu is that almost everyone around him knows how to control him.

7. The worst thing any leader can do is to make it obvious that he is open to manipulation by those around him. Many analysts believe that Jonathan’s known weakness (wine) was responsible for the much of the political tragedies that befell him between 2014 and 2015.

8. Does it mean Peter Obi and co are angels who have no human weaknesses? I do not think so. However, these men, unlike Sani Abacha and Okezie Ikpeazu, are so disciplined that they bring their emotions and human desires under steady control.

9. They do not send out their aides to fetch them women of easy virtue or to crisscross university campuses in search of certain specifics of the human female specie. You will also not find them losing their senses to the attraction of alcohol.

10. Discipline is a key element of leadership and if you do not have it, it is unlikely you will make a good leader. Now beyond the trappings of the flesh, you must also be firm on issues and with people.

11. A good leader is respected by his aides. They do not run riots around him and most times, they are wise enough not to create problems for the leader. When you see a man in leadership position who cannot call people around him to order when they go wrong or create public nuisance; then you can be sure you are dealing with a complete failure.

12. This is the current tragedy we have with the Okezie Ikpeazu administration in Abia State. Mr Ikpeazu, by most accounts is in office but far removed from power. Most of his aides and appointees have no respect for him. They see him as a puppet whose decision can be overruled without a second thought.

13. I personally believe that Mr Ikpeazu is an ongoing disaster. If you doubt this, carefully look at the current mess playing out with his chief of staff who is barely six months in that position.

13b. Mr Agbazuere, the man who has played a part in every destructive administration in Abia in the last 21 years is doing everything within and without his reach to quicken the collapse of the wobbling Okezie Ikpeazu administration.

14. Consider a few events this week alone: Mr Agbazuere personally led series of police and DSS operatives to re-arrest a legal practitioner and human rights campaigner in the state, Mr Emperor Ogbonnah, after he was granted bail by the court.

15. Then on Thursday, Mr Agbazuere conducted a press conference wherein he clearly rubbished the administration of his principal and announced unashamedly that he has abandoned Mr Ikpeazu and is now working for the president, Mr Muhammadu Buhari.

16. By late Thursday evening, Agbazuere’s media aides were displaying his CV on social media, announcing him as more competent, educated and better exposed than Mr Okezie Ikpeazu who reportedly got his first international passport after he became governor in 2015.

17. On Friday, the news broke that the chief of staff would be on a syndicated radio programme this Saturday in what is obviously an exercise in self promotion. Mr Agbazuere, right before his principal is actively working to supplant the man whose interest he is supposed to be protecting.

18. Isn’t it obvious that Agbazuere obviously has no respect for Mr Ikpeazu? The chief of staff was appointed to smoothen and make things easy for the governor, make friends for him and support him to succeed. Sadly, Agbazuere has no interests in Mr Ikpeazu’s success.

19. He is a self obsessed man who only cares about his elephantine ego. Daily commentaries are read on radio stations in Abia announcing his “sterling” qualities. He wants to be seen as the most powerful man in the state and that’s why you see him introducing Gestapo philosophy in Umuahia.

20. Mr Ikpeazu, without dispute is the most terrible leader any state in the old Biafra has ever seen. However, he must move to redeem his image by removing this bull in a Chinese shop from his government.

21. He should care less about Agbazuere’s blackmail and just do the right thing: for himself and his career as a politician.

22. If Agbazuere abandoned Orji Kalu and his mother whom he worshipped for eight years, throwing Ikpeazu under the bus would present no hurdles. The governor must now make the first move to keep the traitor in his government at bay.
