The Supreme Court at the early hours of today reverse the 12 years  conviction of the Senator representing Abia North in the upper chamber

The Apex court while reversing the conviction order for a fresh trial of the Ex Abia State Governor since the Earlier conviction was done by a judge who lack the jurisdiction

 As soon as the news fittered into town women, and children hit the streets in jubilation in Abia North most especially Igbere Village, Bende local government in Abia State after the Supreme court annulled Orji Uzor Kalu’s conviction.

It was a cheering news as thier faces where full of joy in celebrating the Supreme court revocation of the judgement that convicted and sentenced the former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor-Kalu, to 12 years imprisonment.

Kalu hails from Igbere village where he is said to own a sprawling 400-room mansion/estate which he named ‘Camp Neya’, after his daughter.

Outrage As Chinese Man Allegedly Pushes Staff, Ocheze Ogbonna To Death For Rejecting His Sexual Overtures, Rep Member Seeks Justice

The death of one Ocheze Ogbonna, a staff of Inner Galaxy Steel Company, Umuahala-Obuzor Asa, in Ukwa West council area of Abia State, has sparked outrage in the area following reports that her Chinese boss was responsible for her demise. Ocheze, a female crane operator in the company was allegedly pushed down from the height after she rejected his sexual overtures. He death sparked a protest by the youths of the community and they barricaded the gates, insisting that they wont leave until justice was done over the death of the crane operator. The protesting youths were later dispersed by soldiers guarding the steel company.
