Abia Deputy Speaker Commences Ultra Modern Toilet Project @ Okagwe Community

In fulfilment of his campaign promises to the people of Okagwe Community in Ohafia, the Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu (Member Representing Ohafia South State Constituency) has commenced the building of a modern toilet for the Okagwe Community.

According to the Abia state number two law maker, the essence of the modern toilet is to ensure the good health, dignity and well-being of the people.

The Deputy Speaker stated that the modern toilet will be in line with the World Health Organisation's approved standard and will help to end open defecations and pave way for adequate and equitable sanitation in the community when completed.

Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu also stated apart from being a law maker, he is also committed to delivering dividends of democracy to his constituents in support of the Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu led administration in the state.

He however pleaded with other communities who are yet to have a feel of his selfless service to Ohafians to be patient as he is overly committed to seeing to the betterment and development of Ohafia.

  It is necessary to put an end to the corruption at Abia State School of Nursing, particularly on the Amachara Campus. Otherwise, the schoo reputation is under threat and her certificates will amount to toilet tissues.  The entrance form is purchased from the Ministry of Health at the cost of ₦10,000 paid to UBA. Some students paid a ransom fee between ₦80,000 and ₦150,000 to the school administrators to secure admission. The results are released two weeks after the exam, and those who 'pass' paid additional ₦15,000 to collect admission letters and ₦245,000 for tuition, hostel, books, and uniforms. But no book was given to the students. The selected students are registered as PTS students.
