President Tinubu elected ECOWAS Chairman

 



The President of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged the new Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).



He was elected chairman at the 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government, taking place in Guinea-Bissau.


After the election , an elated Tinubu pledged to take democracy seriously, noting that, though tough, it is still the best form of government.
