APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu Disowns List Of Principal Officers Announced By NASS Leadership


Fresh crisis appears to be brewing in the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC as the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu has disowned the list of principal officers announced by the leadership of the two chambers of the National Assembly on Tuesday.


Adamu at a meeting of the party’s National Working Committee and Progressives Governors’ Forum in Abuja says the National Assembly breached protocol by announcing the principal officers without the knowledge of the party.

  Governorship candidates from the Owerri Zone Senatorial District have called on Governor Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to drop his second-term or reelection ambition. The governorship candidates, who made the call, were Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Tony Ejiogu of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA), Kemdi Opara of the Young Progressives Congress (YPC) and Kachi Nwoga of the Action Democratic Party (ADP). The politicians insisted that it was undemocratic for Uzodimma to be seeking re-election, while Orlu Senatorial District had ruled the state for 20 years out of the 24 years since the return of democracy in 1999.
