Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has commented on the emergence of Atiku as PDP's presidential candidate for the 2023 elections.


The APC presidential aspirant congratulated Atiku on his victory.



Tinubu added that he looks forward to squaring up with Atiku "as a worthy opponent in the coming election."

ASUU Warned Federal Government Against Re-opening Schools

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has advised the federal government to keep schools shut pending when the covid-19 pandemic was over. ASUU tweeted about this on Thursday. ASUU President, Abiodun Ogunyemi, advised “federal government not to reopen schools until the pandemic is over. The Covid-19 Presidential Task Force had equally maintained that it was not safe to reopen schools. The PTF had also urged schools to ensure safety measures against covid-19 were put in place before schools reopen. ASUU and FG are still at loggerheads over alleged failure of government to meet the terms of earlier agreements. This led the union to call an indefinite industrial strike action.
