THE WRONG TYPE OF LEADERSHIP
I saw the wrong leadership where leaders deny those being
led resources that will make them comfortable. you deny them infrastructure,
you deny them everything important in life and make them indebted to you, some
are denied education. Some are denied good salary at work place ,some are
denied pleasure and some are denied rest and leisure and then they are indebted
to you , a friend told me that if you want your employee to stay ,you should not
pay them well nor pay them very bad , do not pay them such that they will have
enough to save nor pay them such that they will stay in lack and lose interest in the job, just give them a
little above being broke
My point therefore is that it is definitely not everything
around you that need to be change ,not everything around you is bad , not everything
around you is not working very well , the ones that are good as a leader need
to remain ,or better still should be upgraded possibly or standardized while
those ones that are bad should be discarded and the best practices introduced
But a lot in a bid to remain relevant ,a lot in a bid to answer
that they are busy go about changing what should remain simply to make a point
.the standard you are meeting are ok , the way things is being done is ok and
up to standard but since it is not your own ,it is not ok .you are the only one
and the only person that know standard and as long as you are concerned every
other person is wrong and their own
opinion is nonsense because that opinion is not coming from you
I know you may have a different opinion .Please forgive me
but I agree with the Speaker of the house of Representative that the problem in
Nigeria is not corruption but the absence of the right leadership , the absence
of leaders with wisdom and the right inspiration, the absence of leaders that are
interested in leaving a legacy for those unborn and the future generation
rather than in the present and in their family even in the ones yet unborn
while those being led are the sacrificial lamb for it to come through.
From Nigeria to Abia state and then to Nkporo the lamb of my
birth. across all religious cycle,
across academic cycle. across tribe and nationalities. But How qualified as you
Anya to discuss leadership someone will ask me
?,what exposure. credentials and experience, do you have to discuss leadership?
have you led before? where and what were you able to do and what are the foot
print you left behind?
Sorry if the answer I will give you is below your
expectation but I am still a aspiring
leader everyday but I have tested leadership in the academic world ,religious
cycle and at the community level .always endeavoring to improve and make impact
wherever I find myself . this is inclusive of my venture into the economic world where as an accountant you will have to
manage both material and non-material resources
As an aspiring leader , I venture into studying the path way
of leadership as a child , it all started when I look around me and saw the
mumbo jumbo people do in the name of leadership , this leadership flaws I saw
as a child was the propelling force behind me in accessing what great
leadership is all about ,I realized that as a leader in whatever capacity .that
you may have only have a day to lead, it may even be an hour to lead ,it may
even be a second but some are privilege to have above 24 hours to lead , the
major achievement will be not to allow the statuesque to remain . to use the
available time, you have no matter how little to make impact
When I was invited for an interview for my present job. I
was ask Anya: what are you going to change if we employ you to work with us .
what was my response? “Sir, I am yet to be employed though I know the business
you people are doing very well but I
don’t know very well how you guys do it around here ,it might vary very well
with what I am use to in the place that I am coming from . it would be wrong to
promise you that I am going to change anything or do anything differently .but I
am making a promise that even if I am going to stay here for a second, the very
first thing I will do is to observe what you people are doing as an insider
,not as an outsider ,then understand and know what you guys are doing and why
you people are doing it , the ones that are ok and in line with the best
acceptable standard will be allowed but the ones that need attention will definitely
receive attention

It is wrong for an aspiring leader. Or a leader in whatever capacity if he is not
willing to learn from anybody, every other person is inferior , you know
everything and understand all philosophy , infant your philosophy is always
correct and final ,it should be adhered to every time and every day , you are
good at teaching others but never humble to learn from others , in your
imagination and conclusions , they are your junior ,they are lower class,
nonentity and have nothing to offer to you
As an aspiring leader, every day, you should ask yourself,
what is leadership, what differentiate good leadership from bad leadership,
what is the secret to successful leadership. this and more are many questions I
ask myself as a child on the pathway to life. have you bothered to ask yourself
this same question because it is important you do
Is it not painful to see a leadership style where the only
way leaders are successful is by denying those being led the right information,
you deceived them, you lie to them, you deny them access to the truth simply to
make them indebted to you, by them not knowing the truth and not having access
to it, they are forever loyal

I saw a leadership where leaders correct everybody , to them
every other person is always wrong ,you are this and you are that , they will
never get to say anything good or wonderful about you nor your work , you are
not encouraged nor motivated about anything on the job ,yes I agree that they
may make mistake, I also agree that blunders will arise , when it arise ,please
correct them but do well to encourage
and appreciate them when they have done what is right and proper
I saw a leadership were everybody deserve to be disciplined,
there is no mercy and there is no forgiveness, as long as you are concerned, if
he make any mistake, then the only remedy is to discipline him, remove him from
his position. boycott any relationship and association with him or her ,deduct
his salary . suspend him, sack him and terminate his appointment. after all we
will always have new people to work with us again.
I saw a leadership where leaders give instruction and order people
around .and when such order and instruction comes, it must be followed and
listened to the last, you dare not forget anything or do anything on the contrary.
you dare not use your initiative. you dare not make suggestion. you dare not
make contribution as a junior when leaders are talking even if your contribution
will solve the problem
I saw a leadership where the leader take all the credit for success,
he is promoted, his salary is increased. more appointment and a lot of benefit,
the junior are not remembered , even their contribution is not regarded as
anything , but when failure comes in , the junior take the harmer , they are reprimanded
, demoted ,and even the unfortunate ones are sack for things which ordinary is
not within their jurisdiction to handle
, they are the ones directly involved in decision making but since failures
have come in ,they are the sacrificial lamb
This is leadership and practiced around you which is wrong,
but something could be done about it
