Abia PDP Elders,BOT And NEC Members Call For Peace in the State

Board Of Trustee Members, National Executive Council Members and Top State Elders of the People's Democratic Party PDP  in Abia State have resolved to allow peace reign in the state .

This is contained in a press release made available to AFNews and signed by Senator's T. A. Orji , Enyinnaya Abaribe, Adolphus N. Wabara, Emma Nwaka, and Prince Vincent Ogbulafor , Chief Onyema Ugochukwu including Rt. Hon. Acho Nwakanma after a stakeholders meeting on 20th July 2020 at an undisclosed location in Nigeria

Investigation by AFNews revealed that this Abia State  political budoxers met in a yet to be verified location to deliberate on the recent rancour and acrimonious outburst against each other from two factional groups of the party in the state loyal to Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu the Executive Governor and Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji who is the speaker of the State House of Assembly. Over comment credited to the speaker when he visited Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in his  Abuja residence few months .

The speaker had visited Senator Orji Uzor Kalu in his residence after his release from Political motivated and fraud related incaceration in prison , while addresing Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. The Speaker of the House of Assembly and son to Senator T. A Orji , Rt. Hon Chinedum Orji pleaded with OUK to return and take back his Position as Political Leader of the state .

Though the reason and motive behind the visit and the comment was yet to be ascertain but factional party members and State Executive Council Members loyal to Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu the Executive Governor who felt the interest of thier oga as a Leader is under threat started agitating for the resignation of Mr. Speaker over his comments. But Media Aids of the Speaker in thier reaction as instructed by Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji called those asking for his resignation political Jobblers which hightened the already tensed atmosphere and this whole thing happened while Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu was battling with Corona virus in an undisclosed location.

Now People's Democratic Party Stakeholders has resolve to allow peace reign , the reason as contained in the press release is because the rancour and political  power tussle occured as a result of the unavoidable absence of the leader of the party in the state Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu who was aware in an undisclosed location in Nigeria receiving treatment after testing Positive to COVID-19.

" After reviewing the various exchanges , we came to the conclusion that the quarrel were unnecessary and were probably instigated by agents,provocateurs to undermine the unity in the party for thier own purpose. We deprecate the bitter public exchanges that sought to incite division within our party ,our government and our state , we are certain that those unfortunate exchanges do not represent the true situation in our party which is United in solidarity with our Governor Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu"

" We therefore call on all antagonist on all sides to cease fire immediately. We believe that whatever issues anyone may have can be addressed within the protocols of the party  instead of in public debates that Project a bad image of our party and government. We urge all members of our party to wake up to the challenges we face especially from opposition parties that are trying to revive through federal support"

  It is necessary to put an end to the corruption at Abia State School of Nursing, particularly on the Amachara Campus.
