The Speaker Of The Federal House Of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas has assured Nigerians that the polytechnic and Monotechnic communities will receive serious attention by the current administration. 


The Speaker who was represented by the deputy speaker in an event said education is a top priority in the President Tinubu led administration. According to a post shared on his Facebook timeline, Hon. Benjamin Kalu said " On behalf of the Speaker, Rt. Hon Tajudeen Abbas, I had honour of delivering the keynote address at the unveiling of the Committee on Federal Polytechnics and Higher Technical Education, today, November 13, 2023.



This committeee will ensure that adequate attention in terms of legislation, policy and oversight is paid to our polytechnics, monotechnics, technical institutes and vocational centers; such that technical education at post-secondary levels meets their purposes.





The legislative agenda of the 10th House is committed to systemic support and renewed hope in critical sectors of our national life; and education is pivot of this rebirth."

  It is necessary to put an end to the corruption at Abia State School of Nursing, particularly on the Amachara Campus. Otherwise, the schoo reputation is under threat and her certificates will amount to toilet tissues.  The entrance form is purchased from the Ministry of Health at the cost of ₦10,000 paid to UBA. Some students paid a ransom fee between ₦80,000 and ₦150,000 to the school administrators to secure admission. The results are released two weeks after the exam, and those who 'pass' paid additional ₦15,000 to collect admission letters and ₦245,000 for tuition, hostel, books, and uniforms.
