The role of Age Grade in community Development can not over emphasized ----- Abia Deputy Governor

The Deputy Governor Abia State Rt. Hon. Sir Ude Oko Chukwu has expressed his satisfaction with the contribution of Age Grade system in the development of Nkporo. 


This was contained in the State Second Citizen's remarks on 2nd April 2021 while commissioning a roundabout project in Etitiama Nkporo built by Umujimba age grade and donated to the community . 



The Deputy Governor who though from the community came to commission the project as the special guest of honour , also used the occasion to reiterate the contribution of Age Grade system in the development of Nkporo. 

He used the occasion to appreciate everyone who contributed in whatever capacity to ensure the successful completion of the project noting that it is wrong to look up to the government and be dependent on them for everything even when there is much we can do collectively.

According to him " It is funny that Someone or some group of Persons will claim a particular politician built this and that in Nkporo when in actual sense it was through communal effort  and Age Grade system" 



Almost all the project scattered across the villages had communal effort in it's construction . And that is to tell you the strength of our unity and oness " Therefore let this roundabout project be properly documented so that in the nearest future. No politician will claim to have been responsible for it " 



It was interest you to note that the roundabout project just like other project in the community was built by an age grade and donated to the community. 


Among dignitaries present at the commissioning ceremony were traditional rullers, Religious leaders , the leadership of Umujimba age grade, Onyirimba age and other notable government appointees who accompanied the Deputy Governor to his Etitiama Nkporo.

Senior Pastor, Dr. Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, has shared a remarkable testimony about the power of tithing. In a recent sermon, he revealed how his wife’s practice of tithing food, including a bag of rice, led to a miraculous experience in their home. According to Pastor Enenche, his wife would regularly remove a portion of their food, including plantains, and give it out as tithe. While speaking, the pastor said, One day, they had a bag of rice that seemed to never finish, no matter how much they consumed. The more they fetched from the bag, the more it continued to replenish itself. His wife eventually became afraid and gave out the remaining rice. Pastor Enenche attributed this phenomenon to the power of tithing, which he has practiced consistently since his early days.
